Why Is Everyone Going to Vancouver?

By Ryan F

Vancouver may be a relatively-young city, especially when compared to centuries-old cities and towns of Europe. But what it lacks in human history, in more than makes up for the differences with unbelievable landscapes that demonstrate nature’s true majesty.

Vancouver is surrounded by beaches and mountaintops but is still an urban experience that offers posh restaurants, a boutique atmosphere and high-fashion areas, earning the city the nickname “Hollywood of the North”. This is also because of the fact that many popular television shows and movies film in Vancouver, so don’t be surprised to see a place or person you may recognize from the entertainment industry.

If you’re the outdoors type, Vancouver is an absolute heaven for hikers, mountain bikers, kayakers and skiers. This is the perfect place to get in touch with your adventurous side as the region offers a diverse mix of scenery that will test your skills and amaze you with uncompromising beauty. Be sure to visit Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth Park and the VanDusen Botanical Garden. For some extra excitement, take a thrilling walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge, a 230 feet-tall bridge abve the Capilano River (this is a great family attraction).

Shopping lovers will not be disappointed in Vancouver and gourmet cuisine fans will also be left amazed. Overall, it’s safe to say that Vancouver is one of the most diverse travel destinations you can find today, offering a healthy mix of urban attractions, amazing experiences in nature, and smile around every corner.
