MANAMA- TRAVEL GUIDE AND TIPS

By Danielle P

The shopping fun, entertainment scenes, dining bliss and lovely works of art makes the beautiful capital city of Bahrain, Manama a must-visit for every tourist. However, you will need to be aware of certain guidelines and walk along with certain tips for you to have the best time in Manama.

There are a lot of things to do in Manama. You can enjoy the fascinating history of the old Bahrain people and their culture. You can also go Souk shopping, enjoy the exciting nightlife, their great dining and the various forms of entertainment and arts that abound.

The best time to visit Manama is in the month of March.

By plane, lighting at the Bahrain International Airport which is 4.5 miles east of Manama will only cost you BD6 when you get a taxi.

By car, go through the causeway that connects Bahrain with Saudi Arabia but be aware that you will need certain documents and a Saudis driver’s license to cross the border.

By bus, you only have to join the daily bus service that transits from Khobar, Saudi Arabia to the Manama bus terminal.

This is no strain as you can move by car, either yours or public rentals. Only be aware that the parking spaces around Manama are limited. If it is by public transportation, the Bahrain Bus network covers the city’s routes. I will not really advise taxis because they are expensive due to the scarcity of taxis in Manama.

Enjoy your trip to Manama!
