We’ve all at some point been bitten by the travel bug and decided that we want to leave our home country and rethink coming back. The idea of exploring the wild was enthralling, and packing our camping gear, or taking a spontaneous trip to some exotic location seemed like the right thing to do. After all, the world is our oyster, and we should enjoy it, right? These adventurous souls had the best trip of their lives. Traversing the great unknown and meeting all kinds of people. Upon their return back to their respective hometown airports, they were met by friends and family who had more to say than a simple “welcome back.” Some of them were able to express their love, and others made fun of their welcoming. A Greeting For Darth Vader

Darth Vader has just landed from planet Tatooine, and he’s back to reclaim his part of the deal with Master Yoda. His beloved star troopers await him in the airport to make sure he makes it home alright since he has encountered many enemies in the past.

When Darth Vader steps down, it’s time to make way for him or else you’ll have to fight a duel. If you don’t have a lightsaber, then give way, or he’ll start to use the force. He’s the VIP of the airport, and no one doubts that.

Not Welcome

When Jody landed home, she couldn’t wait to see all her loved ones waiting to greet her and show her affection. After she disembarked from the airplane, she took a cab home and arrived to this sad sign. Apparently, Jody wasn’t that missed.

In fact, this sign is downright sad. Just because this guy wrote this sign, doesn’t mean it’s true. After all, it could be her brother playing a joke on her. Sometimes when people leave, their loved ones will jokingly say, “I hate you.” It seems like the reasonable thing to say since you feel hurt that they left, this could be one of those instances. We hope it’s said only in jest.

Simon’s partner wasn’t having it that day. She revealed her partner’s big secret at the airport for all to see. This is an epic fail on Simon’s part, and it certainly wasn’t worth arguing with Britney over. If he wants to save his relationship, he better put in the effort.

We don’t see how selfie sticks can really be a bad thing because they help us capture our surroundings in the best way possible. Maybe “selfie stick” is a code name for something else. The passers-by at the airport don’t seem fazed by the sign, and they find it quite entertaining.

Going to Rehab requires an intense amount of strength and willpower. It’s no easy feat to overcome deep-seated addictions. The person being congratulated probably went to hell and back and arrived victoriously. He was able to overcome his addictions and completed Rehab.

His biggest fan awaits him at the airport. Could it be his mom? His sister or maybe his partner? Whoever this lucky girl is, she’s more than happy to greet her accomplished companion. Kudos to him for doing his best!

This guy attempted to attract a smokin’ hot Italian chick. It could be an inside joke between him and this girl, or it could just be his idea to lure a random stranger to have a date with him. He should ditch the sunglasses at the airport, though, since it looks a tad creepy.

If we were this guy and saw the sign, we’d make a sharp left to the exit to prevent getting picked up. Sure, life can be about fun and games, but there’s a time and place, and this wasn’t the right place to discuss juvenile jokes. Either way, we love her bold move and strong choice of words.

Hopefully, this lady was able to find her noisy pale-faced lady. The lady’s face must have been paler after reading that sign. We like how she colored it with a neon green pen to show her creative side and that the sign shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

When rushing to the airport, it’s always important to spell check before going there. After all, mistakes can be made, and people might not arrive at the right hotels. This woman might have been rushing to write down the person’s name but forgot to spell-check.

We sense another Star Wars fan. This father has clearly seen all the Star Wars movies, and he’s proud of it. His outfit was spot on, complete with the whole dark aesthetic look. But wait, where’s his red lightsaber? Guess he forgot one minor detail.

Joe’s mom couldn’t wait for Joe to come back home, and she made sure he would remember this moment for the rest of his life. This giant pink sign with two ways to read it: from the front and the back can’t be missed even from a mile away.

We love how the LGBTQ community has been blessed with more recognition and appreciation now than in past years. It’s 2020, and it’s time all genders are given importance too. This dad is the perfect parent for showing support for his son.

We need more people like him in this world. Gender shouldn’t define who you are, and this dad knows just that. He loves and accepts his son, and he even announced it to the entire airport. Aw, what a lucky son!

Momma’s back from prison. But she probably won’t be happy seeing this sign. After all, coming out of jail isn’t necessarily something that people would speak about openly. It’s a private matter that’s usually shared between family members.

It’s not usually displayed in the open for everyone to see. This proud family was happy that their mom had been released. They laud her achievement for having finished doing her time, and now all they want to do is see her, and make up for all the things they missed.

This girl wanted the whole airport to know that she was picking up two major hotties. We wish we could’ve got a glimpse of said hotties to judge for ourselves. But with her gleeful expression, we’ll take her word for it that she was meeting the hottest guys.

This sign was intentionally written this way and intentionally held at this angle. Or at least we think so. It reads “Idiot” and this woman was clearly trying to call out to someone who she believes has no brain cells.

This was indeed a joke, and it’s a cute one at that; she really put effort into this sign. We hope the person who saw this wasn’t offended, and we hope they were able to hug it out after. She gets an A+ for originality for sure!

We’re 100% sure that the last name was a typo. No one truly has a surname like that. Maybe their username on Reddit has that alias, but we find it hard to believe it’s real. This guy should have probably spell checked the names before heading to the waiting area.

Poor Dan, he probably was so confused when he got off the plane. After all, the combination of words for his possible last name sounds a lot like gibberish. When you think about it, it could be way worse. At least the first name was right!

Waiting Game

The waiting game for your partner to come back from abroad is the most tiring part. It’s hard to tell if he’ll be back in 300 days or 113 days. This man’s partner was able to count 113 days exactly until his return. Talk about dedication!

This guy wins our funniest sign award. He’ll forever be known as the guy with a green sweater whose sister got knocked up by some other guy. This sign can’t get any franker than this. We sure hope the guy knows he got his sister pregnant.

Having a husband who’s in the army and deployed can be difficult. Not knowing when he’s coming back can be a huge bummer. But this momma was steadfast in taking care of their baby, and she looks gorgeous doing it!

The look on hubby’s face must’ve been priceless to see the two loves of his life waiting for him back at the airport. The whole family’s reunited this time, and with an additional member. Soldier’s done his time; now it’s time to spend quality time with what matters.

This must be some secret code that only the guy picking up the person and the person reading this sign understands. Because there are only 3 words in this sign that make perfect sense. That’s 2, Trade and Israel. And 2 isn’t even technically a word.

Still, with these context clues, it’s still hard to make out what he’s trying to say. It seems like he’s trying to solve a complicated math puzzle rather than write someone’s name. We sure hope he was able to find who he was looking for!

These two guys clearly don’t know what’s going on. When their bosses told them to pick someone up named “Logo” and “Loose Women” they probably weren’t paying that much attention to the brief or they just weren’t able to catch the spelling right.

This can turn out to be a whole mess of sorts, especially when the person waiting at the airport expects to be picked up by someone reliable. We sure hope these two didn’t mix up, and the guy holding the loose women sign didn’t pick up logo’s person and vice versa.

Apparently, Michael Jordan’s driver and bodyguard is waiting for him at the airport, and he didn’t want to be noticed or draw too much attention. He made this sign to be as inconspicuous as possible, knowing that he’d attract a ton of paparazzi when they see Michael coming off of the airplane.

He didn’t even bother writing Michael’s name in big bold letters since he wanted him to find him. Not the other way around. Then again, there are hundreds of people with the name Michael Jordan too. We just liked to believe that the former was true.
